April 2007 News:

Toronto Life Publishing Company Limited acquires the Naming Rights to Metropolis.

PenEquity Realty Corporation is pleased to announce that Toronto Life Publishing Company Limited has acquired the Naming Rights to Metropolis.

Officially now trademarked TORONTO LIFE SQUARE, the 500,000 sq.ft. mixed-use project anchoring the northeast corner of Yonge & Dundas Street is scheduled to open it’s doors in phases beginning this fall. TORONTO LIFE SQUARE will provide the 56 million people who work, shop, play and learn in the area each year with the best retail and entertainment the city has to offer.

In addition to providing the iconic project with a landmark name, Toronto Life brings with it the full resources of parent company St. Joseph’s Communications, Canada’s largest privately owned Communications Company. Through its four integrated business divisions, St. Joseph’s Communications provides TORONTO LIFE SQUARE with tremendous media exposure. TORONTO LIFE SQUARE will bring a strong sense of community through extensive live programming within the project itself showcasing various aspects of the City. These events, and the facility itself, will be promoted through the various St. Joseph Communications media outlets (such as Toronto Life Magazine, WHERE Canada magazine, FASHION Magazine, Wish, WEDDINGBELLS etc.) and affords TORONTO LIFE SQUARE with an excellent source of advertising mediums / channels.

Toronto Life will be providing a significant amount of content for TORONTO LIFE SQUARE’s internal digital signage network and will also install and operate a visitor information area on the second floor, serving as a City of Toronto “concierge” desk for both the local community and tourists alike.

Canadians will be most familiar with Toronto Life Publishing via its premier publication Toronto Life Magazine, which recently celebrated its landmark 40th Anniversary and is widely regarded as the official guide to what is happening within the City of Toronto.
